Job summary

Country Club of Detroit is seeking a Catering Coordinator to enhance Member experiences by planning meetings, banquets, and special events. You will coordinate events like weddings and club activities, working closely with various departments to ensure exceptional service.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Business, three years of relevant experience, and strong communication and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with Microsoft Suite is required. The position may require flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Business or related field, preferred.
• Minimum three years of experience in Events or Food & Beverage Service Industry, preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Suite required.
• Knowledge of Jonas Software, preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of food and beverage etiquette and service standards required.
• Oral and written communication skills required.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills required.
• Basic mathematical skills to complete reports and calculate event charges.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate multi-faceted events such as weddings and club events.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to create exceptional events.
• Develop menus, contracts, and detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
• Supervise the event order specifications.
• Assist accounting staff in client billing.
