Job summary

Hotel Champlain, Curio Collection by Hilton in Burlington, VT seeks a Convention Services Manager to drive catering and food & beverage sales, coordinate events, and ensure exceptional client experiences. You’ll build relationships with planners, translate their needs into flawless service, and collaborate with sales and events teams.

This role requires strong selling skills, organizational finesse, and a solutions mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; convention/event and catering sales experience preferred.
• Creativity and knowledge of food and beverage/events, plus professional selling skills desired.
• Valid driver’s license for the applicable state required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to negotiate, convince, and influence clients.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer use; manage multiple tasks independently.

Responsibilities

• Knock meeting planner goals and food & beverage sales while keeping guests smiling.
• Build relationships with clients, take them on property adventures, and participate in local happenings.
• Stay ahead by tracking market trends and bringing fresh ideas to the table.
• Spread positive vibes with guests and colleagues; attend key meetings and keep the hotel running smoothly.
• Deliver flawless event orders on time, communicate changes quickly for successful celebrations.
