Aimbridge Hospitality is seeking an Assistant Controller for our Burlington, VT property. You will oversee cashier duties, AR, payroll processing, and compliance with company standards to keep our accounting operations accurate and timely.

The role requires 5+ years in hotel finance, supervisory experience, and strong MS Office skills. This on-site position offers a comprehensive benefits package and a path to leadership within the finance team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years progressively responsible hotel experience, supervisory experience required.
• Associates or higher with relevant accounting exposure acceptable with years of service.
• Strong communication and decision-making under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cashier duties, bank controls, and Accounts Receivable, with reconciliations and audits.
• Process bi-weekly payroll and track benefits; ensure compliance with state/local laws.
• Maintain attendance and ensure best practices in hospitality financial operations.
• Analyze complex financial data and address coworker and guest concerns promptly.

As the Assistant Controller, you’re the mastermind behind keeping our accounting running like clockwork! You’ll make sure all financial info is processed smoothly and efficiently—all while following Aimbridge Hospitality’s top-notch standards. Numbers have never been so fun!

This position is an overtime eligible manager (OEM),overtime does apply and is calculated accordingly.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 5 years’ progressive hotel experience, or Associate’s degree plus 3 years, or Bachelor’s degree plus 1 year; supervisory experience required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, spreadsheet management, and basic PC troubleshooting.
• Strong communication, quick decision-making, and effective problem-solving skills under pressure.
• Ability to analyze complex financial data and address concerns from coworkers and guests.
