AVI Foodsystems is seeking an energetic leader to fill the role of Full-time Catering Chef at Bryant University in Smithfield, RI. The position offers a salary of $85k per year and requires culinary expertise and strong leadership to oversee meal production and catered events.

As part of AVI Foodsystems, you will manage kitchen operations, develop menus, maintain food safety standards, and lead a team of cooks and service staff while upholding our focus on quality, service, and value.

Qualifications

• Culinary experience.
• Exceptional food presentation skills.
• Strong work ethic.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
• Hours may vary, weekends, nights, and some early mornings.
• Strong culinary background.
• Must be able to do inventory, ordering and maintaining production records to manage food cost.
• A family culture and atmosphere.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate and participate in activities of cooks and other team members engaged in preparing, cooking and serving food
• Ensure all food handling, sanitation and customer service standards are met
• Help select and develop recipes and menus
• Receive and inspect products for quality and quantity to ensure appropriate inventory
• Implement catered events, promotional programs and new standards
• Maintain a safe work environment
• Encourage good customer relations through product promotion
