Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent to perform essential functions.
• 3+ years in retail, wholesale or distribution.
• Strong problem-solving and communication abilities.
• Proactive, detail-oriented with data-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

• Execute Category Management initiatives within assigned categories.
• Support corporate core suppliers and ensure category success.
• Communicate with planners, suppliers, brokers, sales, and customer service.
• Promote local assortment to meet company goals.
• Manage local supplier and broker relationships.
• Support OpCo Sales Specialists with guidance and input.
• Facilitate corporate assortment training at OpCo as required.
• Conduct local supplier reviews and negotiations using best practices.
• Negotiate supplier-funded customer pricing and Earned Income programs.
• Collaborate with Category Captains for focus categories.
• Assist in inventory depletion and supplier negotiations to return products.
• Drive results on focus categories and support promotions.
• Direct contact for local sales and assist on issues.
• Create new item and vendor records.
• Drive Sysco Brand sales and pricing integrity with RevMan.
