Sysco in Minnesota is seeking a Category Management professional to execute initiatives, manage local assortment, and support supplier relationships to drive company goals. You will collaborate with sales, planners, brokers, and customer service to optimize product mix and pricing in the local market.

The role requires 3+ years in retail/wholesale, a Bachelor's degree, and strong Excel skills. You will drive promotional activities and coordinate with RevMan for pricing integrity and category

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years in retail, wholesale, or distribution environment.
• Experience with category management and supplier negotiations.
• Proactive, able to communicate with all levels of the organization.

Responsabilités

• Execute Category Management and other initiatives within assigned categories.
• Support category success and relationships with core suppliers.
• Communicate with planners, suppliers, brokers, sales team and customer service.
• Manage local assortment to achieve company goals and drive results.
• Manage local supplier and broker relationships and negotiations.
• Provide input and guidance to OpCo Sales Specialist.
• Facilitate corporate assortment training at the OpCo as required.
• Conduct supplier reviews and negotiations following best practices.
• Negotiate supplier-funded pricing and Earned Income programs.
• Collaborate with Category Captains or Advisors for focus categories.
• Assist in inventory depletion and supplier negotiations to return products.
• Drive focus categories, promotions, and selling events, and support local sales.
