Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Category Support Specialist to coordinate product data and vendor communications for a high-volume catalog. The role emphasizes accurate data exchanges between master systems, vendors, and internal teams, with strong attention to distribution nuances and strategic initiatives.

The candidate will leverage SQL/Access to extract data, advanced Excel for data integrity, and collaborate with Category Managers to align assortment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree required.
• 2 years in retail product environment preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP, IF, and Pivot Tables.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate data elements for products in the assortment.
• Lead item introductions, expansions, and test items with vendors.
• Extract product information from company systems using SQL and Access.
• Synchronize product data between vendors and internal systems with advanced Excel.
• Review data for completeness and accuracy and escalate issues.
• Communicate and escalate issues to Supervisor as needed.
