Catastrophe Property Adjuster *MULTIPLE REMOTE LOCATIONS* (Finance)

Work from: Home, within ERIE operating footprint

Salary Range: $66,625.00-$106,427.00*

*This range is for this level and may vary based on the actual role, skills, education, training, credentials, location, and experience of the applicant. The position may be eligible for an annual bonus.

Position Summary

Handles all types of catastrophe property claims independently, assists field offices, and manages day-to-day property claims.

  • This is a work-from-home role within the ERIE footprint, including PA, NY, MD/DC, NC, VA, WV, TN, WI, IL, IN, OH, and KY.
  • Travel is required for most responsibilities, with a company car and paid gas card provided.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Contact policyholders, assess damages, and determine liability.
  • Prepare estimates, negotiate claims, and document activities.
  • Manage reserves, issue payments, and supervise independent adjusters if needed.
  • Attend industry training and support field offices when not on catastrophe deployment.
  • Maintain the company vehicle and related equipment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent, with five years of claims experience, including two in property claims. Knowledge of structural damage repair and valuation. AIC certification and estimating software proficiency are preferred. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel on short notice are required.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and move various weights, drive frequently, and access heights, with specific weight limits and activity frequencies outlined.
