Job summary

Evonik Corporation in Calvert City seeks a senior plant leader to ensure safe, compliant operation of a chemical production facility, driving planning, budgeting, and continuous improvement. You will lead managers across PMC, CPC, and supply chain, oversee ISO compliance (9001/14001/50001), implement cost controls, and develop staffing and training.

A technical degree and 8+ years in chemical operations with strong leadership and communication skills are required; SAP experience and Six Sigma

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of production experience, preferably in chemical operations.
• 5+ years of leadership or management experience.
• Experience in a union environment preferred.
• OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) experience preferred.
• Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 50001 standards preferred.
• SAP experience is a plus.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of Catalyst Plant operations by leading managers responsible for PMC, CPC, and SCM at the Calvert City site.
• Ensure safe, cost-effective, and environmentally compliant plant operations while driving continuous improvement.
• Develop and manage the plant budget, controlling costs to meet financial targets.
• Plan and manage workforce resources to ensure adequate staffing and capabilities.
• Establish and maintain operating parameters and guidelines to support safe and environmentally sound operations.
• Foster employee engagement, trust, accountability, and alignment with Evonik values.
