Job summary

Evonik in Calvert City, KY seeks an experienced Plant Operations Leader to drive performance of PMC, CPC, and SCM, ensuring safe, cost-efficient production and regulatory compliance.

You will develop budgets, plan resources, and implement ISO 9001/14001/50001 standards while fostering safety, quality, and teamwork. The role requires a Bachelor's in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, 8+ years of production experience, and SAP/Six Sigma familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• 8+ years of production experience in chemical operations.
• 5+ years of leadership or management experience.
• Experience in a union environment preferred.
• OSHA PSM experience preferred.
• Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 50001 standards preferred.
• SAP experience is a plus.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead PMC, CPC, and SCM operations at Calvert City.
• Ensure safe, cost-effective, and compliant plant operations.
• Develop and manage the plant budget, controlling costs to meet targets.
• Plan and manage workforce resources to ensure adequate staffing and capabilities.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, RC 14001, and ISO 50001 requirements.
• Develop and communicate production plans with QC support.
• Establish and maintain operating parameters and guidelines for safety and environment.
• Support safety reviews, hazard analyses, and grievance resolution.
• Foster employee engagement and alignment with Evonik values.
• Maintain clear communication with internal and external customers to support goals.
