Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's degree in library and information science or enrolled in MLS/MLIS program with ability to obtain MLS/MLIS within 12 months.
• Prior library work experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Processes new, donated, and existing library materials.
• Maintains catalog records and item records; updates classifications.
• Communicates with library branches to verify maintenance requests and changes to classifications.
• Provides reference and readers advisory services to the public.
• Develops bibliographies, pathfinders, and newsletters.
• Performs basic cataloging and routine circulation tasks.
• May schedule, train, or supervise clerical staff and volunteers.
