Job summary

Los Alamos Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Cat Scan (CT) Technician to perform imaging procedures and ensure high-quality results with safe patient care.

The role requires licensure and ARRT CT registry within 12 months, with a sign-on bonus of $10,000 for a 24-month commitment. Join a network dedicated to community health across multiple states.

Qualifications

• Current NM Radiologic Technologist license.
• Graduate of an ARRT/JRCERT/ARMRIT/NMTCB accredited program in Radiologic Technology, Radiation Therapy, MR, or Nuclear Medicine; associate degree preferred.
• ARRT Registry in Radiology required.
• ARRT CT Registry required within 12 months of hire/transfer.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) current upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history and physician's orders.
• Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
• Monitors patient condition continually and reports changes as appropriate.
• Prepares equipment and supplies.
• Implements safety standards and performs quality control procedures on equipment.
• Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
• Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s).
• Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results.
• Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure.
• Enters, transmits and reports scan results.

How you'll contribute

A Cat Scan (CT) Technician who excels in this role:

• Reviews patient history and physician's orders.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current NM Radiologic Technologist license and be a graduate of an ARRT, JRCERT, ARMRIT, or NMTCB accredited program in Radiologic Technology, Radiation Therapy, MR, or Nuclear Medicine required with an associate's degree preferred. Additional requirements include:

• Certification/License:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) current upon hire.

  • ARRT, JRCERT, ARMRIT, or NMTCB registry in Radiology, Radiation Therapy, MR, or Nuclear Medicine Registry required.

  • ARRT Registry in Computed Tomography (CT) required (within 1 year hire/transfer).

    • If not ARRT(CT) upon hire, you must work under the supervision of an ARRT(CT) technologist until your ARRT(CT) is obtained.
