Job description

Cat Scan (CT) Technician

Schedule: Full‑time inpatient position, 1900‑0700 Friday‑Sunday.

Responsibilities:

• Reviews patient history and physician’s orders.
• Educates patients regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications when ordered, within scope of practice.
• Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes as appropriate.
• Prepares equipment and supplies, implements safety standards, performs quality control procedures, and troubleshoots equipment malfunctions.
• Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s).
• Analyzes results and identifies quality issues, taking appropriate actions such as repositioning patient or repeating procedure.
• Enters, transmits and reports scan results.
• Accepts on‑call assignments for scheduled shifts and is available within 30 minutes of notification.

Qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in radiologic sciences.
• ARC Radiography required. ARRT CT or CT eligible required.
• NM license in Radiography required. NM license in CT or CT provisional required.
• BLS certification required.
