Job summary

Los Alamos Medical Center seeks an Ultrasound Technician to perform comprehensive ultrasound studies across abdominal, obstetric, vascular, neonatal, pelvic, breast and small parts imaging. You will support radiologist interpretations, manage documentation, and maintain equipment and supplies in a patient‑focused radiology team.

Qualified candidates have completed a diagnostic medical sonography program, with ARRT/ARDMS certification preferred, and BLS within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program.
• ARDMS/ARRT certification preferred or obtained.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• One year of diagnostic medical sonography experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality ultrasound studies including abdominal, OB, vascular, neonatal, pelvic, breast, and small parts exams for interpretation by the radiologist.
• Maintains appropriate files, supplies, and equipment.

Job description

This position includes a $20,000 sign-on bonus for qualified external candidates. The sign-on bonus includes a two-year service commitment.

What We're Looking For

Applicants should be a graduate of a diagnostic medical sonography program or school of radiology. Additional requirements include:

• Experience: One year of diagnostic medical sonography experience preferred.
• License/Certifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited DMS program or ARRT/ARDMS certification
  • BLS required within 30 days of hire.
