Job summary

Stillwater Insurance Group in Jacksonville, FL seeks an experienced Casualty Litigation Manager to lead complex insurance litigation across the organization. You will advise Claims Leadership and Legal, manage strategy, outside counsel relationships, legal spend, and high-exposure claims from inception through resolution.

The ideal candidate has a JD with active license, Florida adjuster license, and 5–7 years of progressive litigation or claims experience.

Qualifications

• Florida Resident Adjuster's License.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree with active license to practice law.
• 5–7 years of progressive experience in insurance claims, litigation management, or related legal fields.
• Experience handling high-exposure claims across multiple states.
• Strong understanding of insurance coverage and civil litigation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex insurance litigation matters from inception to resolution.
• Oversee strategy, pleadings, discovery, depositions, mediations, and trial prep.
• Manage outside counsel and litigation budgets.
• Review medical records and expert opinions to assess claim value.
• Provide guidance to adjusters and claims leaders on risk and settlement strategies.
• Develop and implement best practices for litigation management.
