Job summary
Fortegra is seeking an experienced Vice President, Complex Claims to lead the Complex Claims function in Jacksonville, FL. You will steer strategy, coverage analysis, and litigation oversight for the Company's highest-exposure claims while collaborating with senior leaders and external partners to optimize outcomes.
Role requires JD, 10+ years of commercial casualty claims experience, and 7+ years in leadership of complex claims teams.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) required.
- 10+ years of commercial casualty claims experience with high-severity, litigated claims.
- 7+ years in leading complex claims organizations or technical teams.
- Experience with CGL, Commercial Auto, Excess Liability, and Professional Liability claims incl. NY Labor Law.
Responsibilities
- Provide executive leadership and strategic guidance for complex claims decisions and reserve adequacy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders, external counsel, and vendors to optimize outcomes.
- Oversee litigation strategy, coverage analysis, and settlement authority for high-exposure claims.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and alignment with underwriting profitability and risk management.
- Develop talent and manage a small team of complex claims personnel.
