Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Litigation Consultant - General Liability to address high-end cases with serious injuries and complex coverage, while coordinating with clients and local counsel. This role supports early resolution and strategic defense, with emphasis on collaboration across the organization.

Ideal candidates have 10 years of litigation experience, 5 years in claims management, and may hold a JD with relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Ten years of litigation experience with five years in claims management.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; JD preferred; professional certification as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Reviews/acts on reports/forms; responds to inquiries; seeks legal opinion and early resolution; communicates resolution to appropriate parties.
• Handles high end cases with serious injuries and/or complex coverage scenarios.
• Responds to decisions, agreement, and/or court order; creates action plan; determines need for examination; gains client authorization.
• Identifies cases for settlements/redemptions and coordinates with client designees.
• Attends mediations, trials, arbitrations or hearings as needed; coordinates with local counsel; supports early return-to-work.
