Risk Placement Services, Inc. is seeking a dynamic business development professional in a hybrid role. You’ll connect Retail Agents with national markets and deliver underwriting solutions through strong carrier relationships.

You’ll market wholesale insurance products, grow production, and build lasting carrier partnerships. The ideal candidate has a proven sales background in insurance, a bachelor’s degree, and a P&C license (or plans to obtain).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of related experience.
• Home state P&C license (or willingness to obtain within 90 days).
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Proven ability to build relationships with Retail Agents and carriers.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and develop new business through networking with Retail Agents and Carrier Underwriters.
• Market and sell wholesale insurance solutions to achieve production goals.
• Build relationships with Specialty Carriers for competitive pricing and coverage access.
• Pre-qualify submissions and focus on high-probability opportunities while following guidelines.
• Analyze submissions to determine best Carrier, coverage, forms, and premium.
• Gather client risk information and identify additional exposure to quote.
• Stay ahead of underwriting guidelines, pricing, and premiums trends.
• Educate partners on the full range of risk solutions.
• Lead and support team when assigned; travel as needed to engage clients.
