Job summary

GoAuto Insurance in Louisiana seeks a Casualty Claims Adjuster focused on unrepresented bodily injury and damage claims. You will manage first- and third-party material damage and unrepresented injury claims, gather statements, assess damages, and communicate claims procedures clearly.

You will review injury documentation, engage injured parties, apply negligence concepts, and issue payments while pursuing recoveries as appropriate. The role offers hybrid work after training and probation.

Responsibilities

• Address first and third-party material damage claims unrepresented bodily injury claims.
• Obtain recorded statements of policyholders and other involved parties to establish a liability determination and verify coverage.
• Determine most appropriate course for establishing extent of damages.
• Review damage appraisals for obvious errors or oversights. Communicate claims procedures and process to involved parties verbally and in writing.
• Review all submitted injury related documentation for accuracy, appropriateness and establish realistic injury settlement ranges.
• Engage injured unrepresented parties in discussions regarding injuries, treatment, expenses, disability, etc. to resolve pending injury claims for realistic amounts.
• Comply with all required reporting requirements, such as ISO, CMS, etc.
• Apply comparative negligence to the resolution of third-party material damage and represented bodily injury claims in the interest of minimizing overall paid severity.
• Document activities in claim file notes clearly and concisely.
• Issue claim payments in appropriate amounts to payees; identify recovery potential and pursue it.
