GoAuto, a major personal auto insurer with expanding Texas operations, seeks a Casualty Claims Adjuster focused on unrepresented injury claims to grow their claims career in a company that values dedication, teamwork, and customer service.

In this role you will handle first- and third-party bodily injury claims, obtain statements, determine damages, review medical evidence, and engage unrepresented injured parties to reach fair settlements, while adhering to regulatory reporting and company

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in an insurance claim environment, preferably personal lines automobile.
• License/Certification: Auto Adjuster License/Property and Casualty License (Required).
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Address first and third-party material damage claims unrepresented bodily injury claims.
• Obtain recorded statements to support liability determinations and verify coverage.
• Determine the extent of damages and review appraisal for errors.
• Communicate claims procedures verbally and in writing to involved parties.
• Review injury-related documentation and establish realistic settlement ranges.
• Engage unrepresented parties in discussions regarding injuries, expenses, and disability to settle claims.
• Ensure compliance with reporting requirements and apply appropriate negligence considerations.
• Document activities in claim file notes clearly and concisely.
• Issue payments and pursue recovery as applicable while handling a high volume of claims.

About The Role

Duties & responsibilitie s

• Address first and third-party material damage claims unrepresented bodily injury claims.
• Obtain recorded statements of policyholders and other involved parties to the degree necessary to establish a liability determination and verify coverage.
• Determine most appropriate course for establishing extent of damages.
• Review damage appraisals for obvious errors or oversights. Communicate claims procedures and process to involved parties verbally and in writing.
• Review all submitted injury related documentation for accuracy, appropriateness and establish realistic injury settlement ranges.
• Engage injured unrepresented parties in discussions regarding injuries, treatment, expenses, disability, etc. in order to resolve the pending injury claims for realistic amounts based on information obtained or provided.
• Comply with all required reporting requirements, such as ISO, CMS, etc.
• Apply comparative negligence, as appropriate, to the resolution of third-party material damage and represented bodily injury claims in the interest of minimizing overall paid severity.
• Document activities in claim file notes in clear, complete & concise manner.
• Issue claim payments in appropriate amounts to appropriate payees. Identify recovery potential and take appropriate steps to pursue same. Must be able to efficiently and accurately handle a high volume of claims. Assist Team members as necessary to achieve performance objectives of the Team and the Company.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in an insurance claim environment, preferably personal lines automobile.
• Successful experience as a Casualty Claim Adjuster or similar position.
• License/Certification: Auto Adjuster License/Property and Casualty License (Required)
• Bachelor's degree preferred
