Job summary

Qualifications

• Radiography skills demonstrated by the competent performance of all duties.
• High school graduation or GED is required for NDT certification.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to read, follow and interpret Technique Cards, Quality Control Manuals and other technical specifications.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Physical ability to perform the essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Set up castings for radiography according to Techniques Cards and customer specs.
• Operate x-ray machines to capture multiple views while adjusting parameters per specs.
• Inspect radiographs for artifacts, coverage, and clarity; record changes and reshoot if needed.
• Maintain logs and modify Technique Card specifications as required.
• Mentor less skilled Radiographers and support NDTE activities.
• Adhere to PCC safety rules and radiation safety practices.
• Perform other tasks in the x-ray department as directed.
