Precision Castparts in Portland, Oregon seeks a Radiographic Interpreter to evaluate film and electronic radiographs of castings, determine conformity with PCC standards, and decide whether parts are acceptable or require repair.

You will review specifications, sort radiographs, assess image quality, document findings, and sign final reports to approve castings for customers. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety, and timely reporting.

Formación

• Advanced radiographer skills demonstrated by the ability to perform Radiographer A duties.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision and meet attendance requirements.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to document and report findings.

Responsabilidades

• Review Technique Cards and paperwork to part specifications.
• Sort radiographs by view for each part.
• Check radiographs for image quality and sensitivity.
• Interpret radiographs to determine acceptance or need for repair.
• Mark problem areas and request additional radiographs as needed; route for repair on rework routing cards.
• Sign and stamp reports for acceptance of parts as determined by interpreter.
• Review weld maps to ensure all welds have been radiographed.
• Perform mathematical calculations from blueprints to determine acceptability.
