Job summary

PCC Structurals in Portland, OR is seeking a Radiographer to produce radiographs per PCC specifications. You will set up castings, operate x-ray machines, and ensure image quality while adhering to safety and NDTE standards. Qualifications

• Radiography skills as demonstrated by the competent performance of all duties or an equivalent combination of classroom training and work experience.
• High school graduation or GED (necessary for NDT Certification)
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Ability to read, follow and interpret Technique Cards, Quality Control Manuals and other technical specifications.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Physical ability to perform the essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Set up castings for radiography according to Technique Cards and customer specs.
• Operate x-ray machines to capture multiple views within customer specifications.
• Maintain and monitor Film/IP handling, cassettes, and exposure parameters.
• Inspect radiographs for artifacts and image quality; adjust as needed.
• Be prepared for audits by PCC and external auditing groups (NDTE, NADCAP, ISO).
• Train and mentor less skilled Radiographers as needed.
• Complete logs and records and update Technique Card specifications.
• Adhere to safety rules and radiation safety practices.
