MDS Staffing is seeking an Inside Sales Engineer to join a team of 12 and become an expert in your clients’ businesses to serve their needs and grow sales. You will focus on markets such as petrochemical, defense, aerospace, and industrial equipment, with strong training and leadership support to set you up for success.

This role emphasizes customer-facing work, account management, and cross‑functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical, Materials or Industrial Engineering and customer-facing experience.
• 2+ years in a technically oriented role, preferably casting, machining, metal or materials process operation.
• Strong desire to grow your career and interface with customers and team members.
• Good communication, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Develop quotes and generate proposals for the parts the customer wants.
• Be an account manager for your customers to increase sales and serve their needs and get them answers to their questions.
• Work in conjunction with field sales and territory sales to increase sales and grow the business; 75% existing clients, 20% repeat business, 5% new business development.
• Interface with all departments and levels within the company to effectively accomplish your work.
• Limited travel, once per quarter on average.
