Job summary

Q Casino + Resort in Dubuque, IA seeks a Security Supervisor to oversee security staff, ensure safety of patrons and employees, and maintain compliance with casino regulations. The role requires staff check-in, shift briefings, and incident reporting across the property.

You will supervise security personnel, enforce SOPs, manage keys, and assist in training while supporting facility operations and emergency responses as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• 1 year security experience and 1–2 years supervisory experience
• OSHA trained in blood-borne pathogen cleanup

Responsibilities

• Check-in and assign Security staff to locations
• Facilitate shift Buzz Session to share information
• Enforce internal controls, Security SOPs, and IRGC regulations
• Maintain control of shift keys
• Oversee casino funds while enforcing regulations
• Complete attendance reports for state representatives and other reports
• Report incidents to proper officials
• Assist in arrest or eviction of patrons when necessary
• Assist in training of new Security and Valet staff
• Conduct employee disciplinary actions when necessary
• Occasionally assist in medical calls
• Monitor parking lots and report violations
• Decontaminate areas for blood-borne pathogens with Maintenance in absence of First Responder
• Oversee day-to-day maintenance issues in absence of leadership
