Job summary

Happy Valley Casino is seeking a Security Shift Supervisor to oversee Security Officers, ensure regulatory compliance with the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, and manage incidents and guest concerns on a fast-paced casino floor.

The role reports to the Security Shift Manager and requires strong leadership, communication, and a commitment to safety for guests and staff across shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of related experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or a high-volume casino environment.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain licensure through the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
• Knowledge of the property's Responsible Gambling Program.
• Understand applicable Federal and State laws and Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board regulations, or willingness to learn.
• Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and remain calm in high-pressure situations.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk for 6-8+ hours per shift.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the performance of Security Officers while on shift.
• Ensuring adherence to regulations, policies, and security procedures.
• Responding to incidents, emergencies, and guest concerns with timely reports.
• Assisting with keys and access device control and accountability.
• Training, coaching, and developing Security Officer team members.
• Maintaining safety and security of guests, employees, assets, and property.
• Participating in investigations involving incidents and policy violations.
• Documenting all incidents and interactions within Security Department records.
• Coordinating with Surveillance to prevent theft, fraud, and cheating.
• Using CCTV, access control, alarms, and other security technologies.
• Maintaining a visible presence on the gaming floor and property-wide.
