Job description

Casino Cage Cashier

A Cage Cashier is responsible for assisting customers in exchanging casino chips, slot vouchers, and similar transactions for U.S. currency. This role also involves paying out jackpots and managing credit applications.

Responsibilities

• Control and account for transactions at the cage window, main bank, chip bank, and check bank.
• Provide positive, courteous, and professional guest service in all interactions.
• Ensure compliance with the incompatibility rule and internal controls, maintaining the integrity of casino financial operations.
• Perform guest and in-house monetary transactions.
• Comply with NJ Division of Gaming Enforcement regulations, IRS laws, and departmental policies.
• Assist with delegated duties such as shredding, supply procurement, and organization.
• Balance and issue impress bank to Floor Attendants, Food and Beverage, and Hotel staff.
• Report and log all Title 31 transactions.
• Follow job functions as outlined in NJAC Admin Code and Golden Nugget Atlantic City Controls, including duties related to casino file preparation and verification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year cash handling experience; six months of cage cashier experience preferred.
• Ability to operate a computer terminal and communicate effectively and courteously.
• Strong decision-making, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to learn new areas and demonstrate a team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
• Must obtain a valid Casino Employee Registrant License.
