Overview

Under the direction of the Cage Supervisors, the Cage Cashier is responsible for the safety and security of company funds, controlling and accounting of funds for the cage and general cashiering windows. Performs high-volume cash and non-cash transactions for guests and internal customers in a courteous, accurate, and timely manner. Must strictly adhere to Internal Control policies, the company’s Responsible Gaming plan, and comply with state and federal regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering-Title 31 Compliance program.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the imprest bank issued during external guest and in-house monetary transactions.
• Balance and issue imprest banks to F&B and Hotel team members.
• Enter patron transactions accurately into the company computer system.
• Prepare paperwork, balance sheets, and documents per NJ Gaming Regulations and Internal Controls.
• Transfer cash, chips, and checks between cages and departments accurately and efficiently.
• Assist in replenishing kiosks on the casino floor and troubleshoot kiosk machines.
• Maintain integrity of the Cage operation by following policies and procedures.
• Participate in daily cage reconciliation with accurate transaction and balancing practices.
• Comply with Federal Title 31 laws and demonstrate a commitment to responsible gaming and alcohol service.
• Promote positive relations with the public and team members.
• Keep the work area clean, safe, and hazard-free.
• Report illegal acts or ethics violations promptly to managers or the Ethics Hotline.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and six months of cash handling experience required.
• Cage operations experience preferred.
• Must hold or be able to obtain a valid CER from NJ Gaming Enforcement.
• Ability to perform basic math operations.
