Job summary

Yaamava Resort & Casino at San Manuel is seeking a Barback to support bartenders, stock stations, and keep the bar area clean and well-organized in a fast-paced casino environment.

The role involves prepping garnishes, stocking ice and supplies, assisting guests with drink orders when needed, and ensuring equipment is functional and inventory is up to date. You will work closely with bartenders during peak periods and maintain high service standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum three months related experience or training required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in the English language.
• Must be able to perform simple mathematical operations.
• Must be able to manage cash transactions accurately and securely.
• Must provide friendly and efficient service to guests and team members.

Responsibilities

• Keeps the bar stations fully stocked (ice, mixes, garnishes, napkins, straws, etc.). Provide coverage to other bars as requested and to ensure coverage during meal periods.
• Responsible for overall cleanliness, organization, and preparedness of immediate workspace and adjacent areas. Ensures a clean, sanitary and thoroughly stocked bar.
• Prepares fruit garnishes for each shift. Assists Bartenders in mixing and preparing bulk alcohol and mix recipes for volume sales.
• Assists Bartenders with greeting new guests and taking drink orders. Helps retrieve or serve beverages during busy times and may collect payment.
• Ensure that all equipment is functioning correctly and efficiently, performing regular checks and ensuring stock is available.
• Notifies immediate supervisor of problems, including intoxicated or underage guests.
• Performs other duties as assigned to support efficient operation of the department.
