Job description

Pride Hyundai of Lynn is seeking a full-time Cashier to work, Monday - Friday and all day on Saturdays at our Hyundai dealership. If you enjoy working with the public and have an aptitude for numbers, please apply to this position.

Responsibilities

1. Greets customers at the cashier window in a pleasant and professional manner.
2. Computes customer bills.
3. Receives cash, checks, and credit card payments from customers; records amount received.
4. Makes change and issues receipts to customers.
5. Provides refunds or credit memorandums to customers for returned merchandise. All returns/refunds MUST go through a manager.
6. Reconciles cash drawer daily.
7. Closes all open invoices.
8. Includes RO #’s when running credit cards.
9. Works with department managers to keep abreast of new products and services offered, their features and value, and any changes in price.
10. Answers customer questions about service performed or products purchased, or refers them to someone who can.
11. Handles customer complaints with integrity and poise and, when necessary, refers dissatisfied customers to the appropriate individuals for resolution.
12. Reconciles gas purchase statements.
13. Provides clerical and administrative assistance to departments as needed.
14. Assists service and parts departments with telephone coverage.
15. Maintains a professional appearance.

Qualifications

1. Excellent listening/communication skills, outgoing and positive personality.
2. Punctual nature and ability to handle schedule flexibility and a dynamic work environment.
3. Strong mathematical skills and general knowledge of accounting.
4. Strong computer skills.
