Job description

We are seeking a Receptionist/Cashier with excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude. This individual will handle incoming calls at the dealership, identify the purpose of each call, and direct callers accordingly. The role also requires basic accounting skills, including familiarity with routine functions in accounts receivable and accounts payable.

Responsibilities

• Calculate customer bills using the dealership’s computer system
• Receive and record cash, checks, and credit card payments
• Make accurate change and issue receipts
• Answer phones and direct customers to appropriate departments
• Handle customer complaints diplomatically and refer to management when necessary
• Operate switchboard telephone system
• Communicate professionally and efficiently with callers, minimizing hold times
• Assist managers with clerical duties as needed
• Maintain a friendly, professional, and courteous demeanor with customers and staff
• Familiarize yourself with department structures and internal procedures for efficient customer service

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Office suite is a plus
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weeknights and weekends
• Ability to communicate customer interests, needs, and requests effectively to management and sales staff
• Professional personal appearance
• Clean driving record
