Job summary

You will operate the POS system, process payments, coupons and loyalty offers, and ensure accurate cash handling while upholding safety and loss-prevention standards. Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers in-store
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently at the checkout
• Operate the POS system and handle tenders (cash, checks, credit/debit, SNAP EBT, coupons)
• Adhere to cash handling, loss prevention and store policies
• Follow guidelines for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs) and report pricing discrepancies
• Stay current with local ads and promotions and provide product information to customers
• Ensure food safety regulations are followed and maintain a safe environment
• Identify safety issues and notify management; participate in preventive maintenance of equipment
• Provide helpful assistance and create a welcoming environment for customers including minors, seniors and special needs individuals
