We have an opening for a full-time CASHIER/FOOD SERVICE WORKER position.

Location: Jefferies Cafe - Madison Avenue, New York, NY 10022

Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 5:00 am - 2:00 pm or 6:00 am - 3:00 pm. More details upon interview.

Pay Range: $19.00 per hour to $20.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Operates Point of Sale system, assists the Chef, prepares coffee, and maintains cleanliness of coffee and cashier stations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Help prepare foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts. Assist with catering orders.
• Perform cashier duties using the POS system.
• Perform general cleaning; remove trash and garbage.
• Provide service in retail areas, including cashiering and line serving.
• Cashier following established procedures, maintain cash accuracy, and make deposits at shift end.
• Inventory and restock supplies and food products.
• Set up serving line, ensure food temperatures are within acceptable ranges, notify cooks if not.
• Serve hot and cold items to customers.
• Set up items for purchase daily.
• Keep refrigerator stocked and rotate products using FIFO.
• Stock pantries, record replenishments, and monitor refrigerator temperatures daily.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
