Job summary

WinCo Foods in Oregon is seeking a friendly Self-Checkout Attendant to provide fast, accurate service at our 24/7 locations. You will operate self-checkout and traditional lanes, assist customers, and maintain a clean, organized checkout area.

Responsibilities include handling cash transactions, engaging customers, stocking and pricing, and following all safety guidelines. This role requires reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work varied shifts including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Ability to work varied shifts in a 24/7 operation, including night, weekends and holidays.
• Food safety/handlers cards and tobacco/alcohol sales certification as required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes, engages, serves and thanks customers with friendly, enthusiastic service.
• Operates check stands and self-checkout to process customer orders accurately.
• Engages in suggestive selling and maintains pricing accuracy.
• Processes cash, checks, gift certificates and refunds, following cash handling policies.
• Maintains knowledge of product location, UPC codes and proper pricing.
• Keeps checkout areas clean, stocked and safe.
• May be assigned to SCO lanes or customer service desk as needed.
• Follows laws on sale of restricted items and compliance with all company policies.
