Job summary

gfsapplegreen is seeking an Associate / Cashier in Columbia, SC to process customers at the Express Lane/Pitt Stop Convenience Stores. You will greet customers, operate the register, promote sales, maintain cleanliness, and ensure inventory accuracy while supporting sales growth.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 18+ years of age, flexible weekend/holiday availability, and strong customer service. Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Open availability to work weekends and holidays and varying shifts.
• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers and assists them in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Operates cash register, promotes sales and assures control and accountability of all company inventory and cash control within company guidelines.
• Cleans, stocks and/or maintains internal property: Check out area, cooler/freezers/equipment, fast food counter/equipment, shelves, displays, floors, windows, backroom and restrooms.
• Cleans, stocks and/or maintains external property: Sidewalks, drives, pump islands, displays, air machines, ice machine.
• Performs team duties to achieve store or company goals.
• Follows safety policies and practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
