Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona in Surprise, AZ is seeking a Store Team Member to deliver an excellent customer and brand experience while promoting sales. You will run registers, assist customers, and maintain floor standards.

Duties include POS processing, soliciting cash donations at POS, pricing goods, closing procedures, stocking shelves, and keeping the sales floor clean and safe. English communication is required; HS diploma or equivalent preferred.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent experience.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent math skills preferred.
• Ability to communicate and understand instructions, both verbal and written, in English.
• Must be at least 16 years of age or older.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for position.

Responsibilities

• Performs POS responsibilities and processes all forms of payments.
• Asks each customer for cash donations at POS.
• Establishes or identifies prices of goods via the type of merchandise, identifying markings, or asking for help from an on-site leader.
• Completes closing procedures, as necessary.
• Maintains regular and consistent in-person attendance.
• Greets customers that enter the store and thanks customers leaving the establishment.
• Maintains sales floor by following floorwork and PPM standards.
• Stocks merchandise in appropriate area as assigned.
• Utilizes systems, including phones and paging systems to make regularly scheduled announcements.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment.
