Job summary

lostacos is seeking a friendly cashier to greet customers, take orders at the POS, and ensure quick, accurate transactions. You will maintain a tidy salsa bar and beverage area, upsell items, and follow safety guidelines while delivering warm, attentive service.

This role requires reliability, good math and communication, and the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs; a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• Retail cashier or sales experience preferred.
• Customer service experience is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a smile and assist at the register.
• Enter orders and process cash and card transactions.
• Count cash at start and end of shifts; make correct change.
• Maintain salsa bar, napkins, and beverage fridges.
• Upsell sides and drinks; keep dining area clean.
• Follow food safety and health guidelines.
• Resolve customer complaints and provide information.
• Complete other duties as assigned by MOD.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet the customers with " Bienvenido's" and a smile
• Entering food orders using cash register POS System
• Handling Cash and credit transactions.
• Count money in the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each work shift, Accept cash and return the correct change.
• Maintain a well-stocked salsa bar, drink cup lids, and napkins before and after shift, Clean dining room, and cashier station
• Maintain Beverage Fridges stocked and clean
• Upsell products Sides, Drinks, Aguas Frescas, etc.
• Maintain cleanliness of the restaurant and follow all food safety and Health & safety guidelines
• Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information
• Take pride in serving guests and providing exceptional customer service
• Completes other duties as assigned by the MOD( Manager on Duty)

Requirements

• Work experience as a retail cashier or in a similar role in sales
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience in a customer service role is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Good math skills
• Basic PC knowledge
• Ability to handle cash and credit transactions
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs

Hourly rate = $18/hr. + tips
