Job summary

Los Tacos No. 1 is seeking a customer-focused cashier to greet guests, take orders at the POS, and handle cash and card transactions. You will keep the dining area tidy, restock supplies, and upsell menu items while maintaining food safety and cleanliness.

This role supports an energetic team in a fast-paced setting. Applicants should have prior cashier experience and excellent communication skills, with a willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience as a retail cashier or similar sales role.
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience in a customer service role is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Good math skills.
• Basic PC knowledge.
• Ability to handle cash and credit transactions.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Greet the customers with Bienvenido's and a smile.
• Entering food orders using cash register POS System.
• Handling Cash and credit transactions; count money in cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Maintain a well-stocked salsa bar, drink cup lids, and napkins before and after shift.
• Clean dining room, and cashier station.
• Maintain Beverage Fridges stocked and clean.
• Upsell products Sides, Drinks, Aguas Frescas, etc.
• Maintain cleanliness of the restaurant and follow all food safety and health & safety guidelines.
• Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information.
• Take pride in serving guests and providing exceptional customer service.
• Completes other duties as assigned by the MOD( Manager on Duty).

• Maintain a well-stocked salsa bar, drink cup lids, and napkins before and after shift.
• Clean dining room, and cashier station.

Hourly rate = $18/hr. + tips
