Position Purpose:

Cashiers play a critical customer service role by providing customers with fast, friendly, accurate, and safe service. They process checkout and/or return transactions, monitor and maintain the self-checkout area, and proactively seek product knowledge to assist customers and identify selling opportunities. They follow all policies to minimize shrinkage. A Head Cashier supports cashiers by expediting price checks, approving POS transactions, and managing markdowns across registers, self-checkout, returns, and other service areas. They handle escalations and assist in training and coaching other front-end associates. The preferred qualification for a Head Cashier is 1+ years of cashier experience.
