Job Description: ALDI Cashier and Stocker

Enhance the ALDI customer shopping experience as part of a collaborative team. Your responsibilities include operating registers or machinery, stocking shelves, maintaining store appearance, and serving customers. Enjoy a dynamic work environment with new challenges each day.

Position Details

• Type: Part-Time
• Hours: Less than 30 hours/week
• Starting Wage: $17.50/hour
• Wage Progression: Year 2 - $18.00, Year 3 - $18.50, Year 5 - $19.50

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Perform duties with or without reasonable accommodations, including:

• Collaborating and communicating effectively with team members and management
• Ensuring security and confidentiality of documents and data
• Processing customer purchases and providing exceptional service
• Stocking shelves and maintaining merchandise displays
• Providing feedback on products and inventory issues
• Participating in inventory counts and monitoring stock accuracy
• Adhering to cash handling policies to prevent losses

Stocker Specific Responsibilities

• Stocking and rotating products to ensure freshness
• Following merchandising planograms
• Organizing inventory and safely operating equipment

Physical Demands

• Regular movement including sitting, standing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, and walking
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and operate equipment safely

Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older
• Customer service skills and ability to perform cleaning duties
• Ability to interpret policies and communicate effectively
• Teamwork and time management skills
• Knowledge of company products and services
• For Cashiers: proficiency in operating cash registers and handling alcohol sales as per legal requirements
• For Stockers: ability to operate equipment like hand jacks and balers safely

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Retail experience preferred but not required
