Responsibilities

As a Cashier at Sprouts Farmers Market, you are the face of the company, processing each customer’s order quickly, accurately, and efficiently while ensuring complete customer satisfaction through prompt and friendly service. You will handle customer cash, credit/debit payments, and change, assist customers with information, and resolve complaints. Your duties include following all front end procedures, stocking shelves, facing, dusting, and maintaining the checkout area in a clean and orderly condition. You should be knowledgeable about weekly ad items, store events, and seminars, and communicate effectively with the front end manager and Head Cashier. You will also execute other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, and 1-2 years of cashiering experience.
• Have an outgoing, friendly demeanor, a positive attitude, and strong customer interaction skills.
• Ability to operate front end equipment such as registers, calculators, and scanners.
• Dependability and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks, multi-task, prioritize, and stay organized.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs. and move grocery carts requiring up to 35 lbs. of force.
• Strong attention to detail, proficiency with numbers, and cash handling skills.

Pay Range

The pay range for this position is $16.55 - $20.75 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
