Responsibilities

As a Cashier at Sprouts Farmers Market, you are the face of the company, processing each customer's order quickly, accurately, and efficiently while ensuring complete customer satisfaction through prompt and friendly service. Your duties include handling customer cash, credit/debit payments, and providing information and resolving complaints. You will also assist with stocking shelves, facing, and dusting as needed. Maintaining knowledge of weekly ad items, guiding customers to product locations, staying informed about upcoming events and seminars, and communicating effectively with the front end manager and Head Cashier are essential. Ensuring checkout areas are clean and orderly and executing other related duties as assigned are also part of your role.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent, and have 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience.
• Display an outgoing and friendly demeanor, a positive attitude, and the ability to interact well with customers.
• Ability to operate front-end equipment such as registers, calculators, and scanners.
• Dependability and reliability, with the flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Good communication skills, ability to take direction and constructive criticism, and work well in a team.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks, multitask, prioritize, and stay organized.
• Must lift/carry products weighing up to 30 lbs. and move grocery carts requiring up to 35 lbs. of force for up to 50 hours.
• Strong attention to detail, proficiency in cash handling, and mathematical skills.

Pay Range

The pay range for this position is $16.55 - $20.75 per hour, determined by experience and qualifications.
