Key Responsibilities:
  • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently at the check lane.
  • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders and loyalty offers per company policy.
  • Maintain awareness of cash handling limits and work to minimize loss.
  • Follow guidelines for restricted sale items such as alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs.
  • Report pricing discrepancies and adhere to policies on postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
  • Stay informed about current and upcoming promotions and advertisements.
  • Comply with all food safety and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions or incidents.
  • Perform equipment inspections and notify management of repairs needed.
  • Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers and answering questions about products.
  • Follow all applicable laws and company policies.
  • Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment and manage conflicts professionally.
  • Act with honesty and integrity in all customer and business interactions.
  • Assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as needed.
