Description

As a Pomptonian cashier, your responsibilities will include maintaining all monetary transactions, recognizing reimbursable meals in the National School Lunch and/or School Breakfast Program, interpreting and recording eligibility information at the point of service, and adhering to procedures approved by the Bureau of Child Nutrition.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain all monetary transactions accurately.
  • Recognize reimbursable meals under the National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs.
  • Interpret and record eligibility information at the point of service.
  • Assist with food preparation as needed.
  • Support team members and assist in various areas as required.
  • Provide excellent customer service with a positive attitude.
  • Participate in annual training and continuing education programs.
Qualifications
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Physical ability to bend, kneel, stoop, and lift 25-50 pounds.
  • Experience with cafeteria equipment (e.g., warmer, fryer, slicer, grill, POS system).
