• We are hiring immediately for a full-time CASHIER/FOOD SERVICE WORKER position.
• Location: IEEE - 445 Hoes Lane, Piscataway, NJ 08854. Note: online applications accepted only.

Job Summary

Operates Point of Sale system, assists the Chef, prepares coffee, and maintains cleanliness of coffee and cashier stations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Help prepare foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts. Assist with catering orders.
• Perform cashier duties using the POS system.
• Perform general cleaning; remove trash to designated areas.
• Provide service in retail areas, including cashiering and line serving.
• Cashiers according to procedures, maintaining cash accuracy with receipts. Make deposits at shift end.
• Inventory and restock supplies and food products.
• Set up serving line, ensure temperatures are recorded and within ranges; notify cooks if not.
• Serve hot and cold items to customers.
• Set up items for purchase daily.
• Keep refrigerator stocked and product rotated using FIFO.
• Stock pantries with correct par levels; record replenishments and refrigerator temperatures daily.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
