Responsibilities:
  • Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately through the check lane.
  • Handle various tenders such as cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, and coupons, adhering to company policies.
  • Maintain awareness of cash handling limits and work honestly to control loss.
  • Follow guidelines on restricted sale items like alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs.
  • Report pricing discrepancies and stay updated on current promotions and ads.
  • Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions or accidents.
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers by assisting with product inquiries and ensuring they feel valued.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and company policies.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment, managing conflicts professionally.
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  • Support and assist diverse customer needs, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
