Position Overview:

This position has two parts. As the Systems Team Member, you will lead in troubleshooting all IT systems within the store. As a Cashier, you will create quality customer experiences by providing efficient, effective service at the checkout lane, leaving a positive and lasting impression on Meijer customers.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Utilize technology to complete activities and tasks.
  • Create 'WOW' moments that positively impact customers.
  • Complete transactions, handle money responsibly, and maintain accuracy at the point of sale.
  • Use good eye contact and body language, displaying a friendly and outgoing attitude.
  • Handle customer questions appropriately and effectively.
  • Build trustful relationships to encourage repeat visits.
Qualifications:
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Strong listening and communication skills, both face-to-face and virtual.
  • Willingness to learn or familiarity with job-specific technology.
  • Problem-solving skills and eagerness to troubleshoot.
  • Desire to work with customers.
  • Previous retail or customer service experience preferred but not required.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Friendly, outgoing attitude.
  • Ability to operate cashier register system.
