Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Customer service experience
• Ability to handle stressful situations

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)

• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk

Responsibilities:

• Greet, engage, and assist customers actively as a Cashier/Checker.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand the Point of Sale (POS) system and handle various tenders such as Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, Rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons, and checkout procedures according to company policy.
• Adhere to company's cash handling limits and work honestly to control loss.
• Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies and stay current with ads.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures, and report unsafe conditions.
• Perform preventive maintenance and notify management of equipment issues.
• Create a welcoming environment by answering questions and assisting customers.
• Comply with all laws, company policies, and perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
