Responsibilities

As a Cashier at Sprouts Farmers Market, you are the face of the company. You will process each customer's order quickly, accurately, and efficiently, ensuring complete customer satisfaction through prompt and friendly service. Your duties include handling customer cash, credit/debit payments, and change, providing information, resolving complaints, assisting with stocking shelves, facing, and dusting as needed. You should maintain knowledge of weekly ad items, direct customers to product locations, stay informed about store events, and communicate effectively with the front end manager and Head Cashier. You are also responsible for keeping checkout areas clean and orderly and performing any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, and have 1-2 years of cashiering experience.
• Be outgoing, friendly, and positive, with the ability to interact well with customers.
• Ability to operate front end equipment such as registers, calculators, and scanners.
• Dependable with a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks, multi-task, prioritize, and stay organized.
• Must lift/carry up to 30 lbs. and move grocery carts requiring up to 35 lbs. of force.
• Strong attention to detail, proficiency in cash handling, and mathematical skills.
