Job Responsibilities:

• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the checkout lane.
• Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders such as cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, and coupons, following company policies.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and work honestly to control loss.
• Follow guidelines regarding restricted sale items like alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs.
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay updated on current and upcoming sales and promotions.
• Comply with all food safety regulations and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions or accidents.
• Maintain equipment and report any repair needs.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers by assisting with inquiries about products throughout the store.
• Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment and manage conflict professionally.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
• Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
